I found the solution. You have squeeze the same trigger you actuate when opening the dust door as you rotate. Basically do what he does in the video but squeeze the trigger while you do. Kinda ridiculous they didn’t just post a comment saying this instead of making you email them. Anyway, hope it helps.

Why does changing the filter have to be such a problem. I cannot open to change the filter even when I press the release button.

Removing most pieces was no problem, but neither my partner nor I have been able open the dust collector to fit the filter. I just turned the music off - it's not rocket science.

Very useful video, thak you!! Just let me a little piece of advice... THE MUSIC CHOICE! Why would you use a melancolic/sad music to show a vacuum cleaner?! Next time choose something happy, or at least not sad; it makes no sense.
