Gluck's self-awareness is impressive. I haven't decided whether it's impressive in that he is aware of how he personifies 99% of us home gymbros or that it's impressive he relates to us basement dwellers and still uploads videos to the YT. Regardless keep it up so I can lift vicariously through you!

People listen to 3 hr long podcasts, 25 minutes is a preview! Solid suggestions. Thank you for all you do.

This was fantastic. I've watched a ton of "complete" gym builds, and this one is the best. In depth, concise, and easily digestible.
Thank you for taking the time.

I have basically everything I need right now (don't need too much), so I'm just going to live vicariously through you. And don't listen to the haters - you are no wimp. Look plenty strong to me! Enjoyed the video!

I'm in the same boat. I had a unicorn gym membership special that was like 100/year but I barely used it. Also the pandemic closed the closest 24hr Fitness near me so it became even more of a hassle to go to the gym.

Then I built a home gym that's cost close to now $3000. It'll take me 35 years before I recoup the cost in comparison to the membership but I'm using it close to everyday and I'm actually getting back into shape.

The drive to upgrade and get new equipment is like a fun obsession/hobby.

Home gyms for life!

The only way to build a cheap gym is to just sit on marketplace and second hand sites all day.

If you've got any Rogue rack and want cable options, for a rack that's either 3x3 or 2x3 with 1 inch or 5/8 hole spacing, I'd recommend the Surplus Strength's UPS low and high pulley. Premium finish, customisable pulleys depending on the height of your rack. Can't go wrong!

Rouge Olympic adjustable dumbbells are currently on sale for $135 each and their aluminum OSO collars are on sale for $49 per pair. For $368 + shipping, you get excellent-quality dumbbells that have (essentially) no upper poundage limit.

ATX Monster, dumbbells, bench options 2.0 end you got everything.

When choosing racks, I agree, more holes is better. When choosing things to sit on, smaller gaps/crevices are better. Hence why I love my rep zero gap bench.

Your best video to date. Covered everything for building a home gym. Thanks again for the heads up on the OPB sale. I love that bar!

2:46 if you wait for deals, you can get powrblocks for so much cheaper. My last pair was 5-50 for 300, and then the expansion kit up to 70 for 150. So that's only 450 total for a pair thay goes up to 70. Totally worth it!

LOL. I just noticed the watermelon and doughnut-painted plates behind you. That's funny stuff.

I'm so glad I got the powerblocks before they went through the roof.

I got a set of Tru Grit fitness dumbbells last year. Should of went with rep, but they get the job done. They are not consistent, the handles will differ in feeling within the same weight pair, like one will be knurled and one will be smooth. A few came with cracks within the hex portion of the dumbbell.

Buy nice or buy twice !
