The already loose soil in Palos Verdes and Other CA cities, this Quake's gotta shook up some nerves

Quakes after 3 straight days of Heavy Rain makes me worry since one of my Houses is up in the Hillside

✌✌

I love that Dr. Lucy Jones is still our go to expert for so many interviews after earthquakes. I've learned so much from her since I was a kid.
I didn't feel this earthquake much but still made sure to fill out that USGS "did you feel it?" earthquake questionnaire they have on their website.

As for getting properties reinforced for earthquake safety, good luck to those of us living in rentals because out of all the landlords I've had, there's only one who would have invested in improving the safety of the building.

I felt it in the South Bay area of Los Angeles. Felt like my room started to spin, then, it hit really hard. Very lucky no damage.

I wonder if the weight from all the rain that fell in the Malibu area this week might have caused this?

I'm surprised they didn't talk about the Feb. 9, 1971 Sylmar earthquake.
Note Feb. 9 then and now.

My only fear about earthquakes is that I live in a historic 3 floor apartment complex and i fear that when the big one hits the building will collapse
