I love this design. Simple, elegant, but practical.

So many dice tower designs are gaudy monstrosities.

Just want to clarify, the smaller one will work with standard sized D20 dice just fine, it just won't work for oversized dice. I got one for DnD and it works great.

Looks handy! Funny thing is that I've been playing tabletop games for 25 years and this is the first time I've even heard of these dice towers.

FYI, the trays are ~56% larger, not 25%. Area is what you care about there, and that scales quadratically (1.25x1.25 = 1.5625). Technically the same would be true if you considered the full size of the chute as well, but in that case you really only care about one dimension ("diameter" of the die vs "diameter" of the chute). And just because I was curious, a 25% scale means the whole thing takes up 95% more volume, so almost double.

Different colors? would be great. The tray made into a3/4 of a circle makes the dice to turn more.

Thanks for the video, 3d printing is awesome to fix problems without having to buy: print up an answer!

This is awesome! We play on a ping pong table and my friends hurl their dice across the room because of it. As punishment, I need one of these!!

Just came from a local game store here in Meridian Idaho, and they have a local guy making these for $20 a piece.

How stable is it? Any way to add some weight to the bottom of the tower then seal it in? Say some sand or gravel or whatever.

I'm more thinking of the inner surfaces: Are there friction enough so the dice would actually roll around tumbling as they fall down the chute/path/incline/tunnel?

d20 will roll easily, but d6 and d4 ... they are ones of the "stabler" polyhedra...

Awesome! However; on the original sized one you could just increase the length of the dice tray, if you want to keep using that one.

How much do the materials cost to print something like that? Either the smaller or the larger? Thanks.

I'm printing this tomorrow! I have the MP Select so I had to cut the tower into two separate figures. It was just a half inch too tall. I had them rendered with supports but after watching this I think I'll save myself some sanding and take them off.
One question, when I downloaded the folder from thingiverse it had a file for a pin. It looks like two little wrench heads glued together. Did yours not have this? or is it a useless element? EDIT: My tray has holes on the sides instead of the bumps like yours. The pin is for going through that hole and the one on the tower. I thought I was going crazy!
Thank you for this video!

I'm still sceptical about how reliable the dice tower is, to be honest. That's all fair to a certain extent, but the systems I play in, in certain situations, will require me to roll 25+ dice and I haven't seen a single dice tower yet that is fit for such a number of dice.

Why don't people just use a cup like Yahtzee?

Wow you look different than I imagined, then again whenever I imagined you I always see a short eldrin with hair for days and solid purple eyes wearing white robes with blue accents.
