Hell yes to reclaiming your loves! Relationships can so easily hinder our individuality and make it difficult to recognize our own truths! Good reminder to remain curious about myself and what I believe/love 💕

When you pulled out "Strange Grace", I was immediately attracted to the book, though I'm not sure why.

I am very proud of you for reclaiming things that were tainted for you. I've recently been doing the same thing with fanfics I pulled down because they were tainted by toxic friendships. I've been reposting them, bit by bit, and it's very emotional; so, to see you doing the same thing with your reading is very empowering and just... kind of sweet? It brought a smile to my face, to know that we're both healing from different kinds of toxic relationships in similar ways. Sort of a "I got you" moment, you know? Idk, maybe that's weird.

Great haul as always. Just. Wanted to cheer on your healing process.

Song of Achilles is one of my favorite books of all time. I cried my eyes out which almost never happens with books. I can't wait to hear what you think!

The Okay Witch is one of my new favorites. I also highly recommend Meg, Jo, Beth, and Amy, which is a graphic novel retelling of Little Women. There's queer rep, and it's overall a fantastic way to introduce new readers into one of my all-time favorite books.

Oh gosh, I really hope you will enjoy There Will Come a Darkness, it was my absolute favorite ARC I've read this year. One thing I think you should know is that it's not exactly a "group of misfits comes together" story in a way that Six of Crows or other books like that are and I don't feel it's right that it's being pitched that way. It does have one gay character tho and the ending points towards a possible m/m relationship in future books (the other boy is bi if I'm not wrong) also yeah there's no homophobia and some same-sex couples are mentioned on-page in the background which i always love to see in a book. Hope you enjoy!

Great video! I really want to read There Will Come a Darkness and Deposing Nathan! And now I'm interested in Okay Witch too.
I got many new books in October. Some of my favourites include Annie on My Mind which I'm very excited for and Oranges Are Not The Only Fruit which I've already read (borrowed from the library) and is one of my favourite books!

Hi, Cece. "The Haunting of Hill House" is one of my top two favorite books of all time. I also watched all of the Netflix series and liked it a lot. Although it had some of the atmosphere of the book, it is really a contemporary interpretation. To get the real 'feel' of the story on film, you may want to watch the 1963 black and white movie with Julie Harris and Clair Bloom. It is one of my most loved 'creepy' movies and the queer attraction of Theodora (Claire Bloom) to Eleanor (Julie Harris) is subtly depicted in the movie as in the book. There was a remake in 1999 with Katherine Zeta-Jones and Lili Taylor. It too was a reinterpretation but was still fairly close to the story but with a different ending. It seemed to be more about special effects. In the original 1963 movie, there were great special effects that made the story horrifying but in a subtle way without being bloody or going overboard. Have you seen either of those movies? If not, I hope you give them a try to see how the interpretation of her book has changed over time. But, the 1963 movie is the classic. The best. D

I LITERALLY screamed when you showed the Electric Heir, I really loved the first book. It'd be fun to see a reading vlog of those two sometime? But arg! I cant wait to hold electric heir in my hands when it will be released. Also is the shirt one of Emeraude Tobias collection merch thingies? Or am I just purely mistaken? ;D

I couldn't enjoy the second half of the Crier's War. Some things about the chemistry between the two characters did not click till the end. And the enemies to lovers thing was so underwhelming.
