I've lived in France for 20 years.
Our food hasn't gone up much. But our energy prices have gone up by 4%.
I am now paying 24 euros per month for electricity.

the cost of wages is not the problem, the cost of dividends and giving shareholders billions is, pay workers and farmers more. give workers the ability to enjoy life and make food affordable again, it is very achievable... just not under capatilism

My local garage for diesel is 1 45 per litre if that's a barometer how the hell is food and energy prices crippling us

This is all about unfair practices in the supply chain and massive profiteering by the supermarkets. Farmer to local buyer to central buyer/wholesaler to supermarket/shop, seems to be a fair amount of extra people in that supply chain that needs a cut of the money before the public can get the stuff they want.

With food it's popularity. The stuff people don't like is cheap.

Petrol is down 47p from a year ago so where is the savings on that. Gas prices are down a lot so where is the savings as well.

the UK has committed £4.6 billion in military assistance to Ukraine so far (£2.3 billion in 2022 and a commitment to match that funding in 2023)

this is how the business runs. once the price is up, it never goes down. just like our wages. no body would accept a salary cut

I honestly can't say it has bothered me all the much. I shop in Aldi and primarily eat a vegetarian diet (consume either chicken or fish once or twice a week). Nothing fancy, just east to cook meals that are well planned where I only need to go to the shop once a week. It's people who are shopping in independent, Waitrose, Tesco, etc. stores who complain. Aldi is still cheap, and the products are just as good. That and Home Bargains for the toiletries, as the Aldi ones are in fairness a bit naff.

the public. house inflation 300% good.
food inflation 50% bad ?

if they were not paying silly prices for their homes they could easily afford foods.

Incompetent and corrupt Government mishandling of the Economy has given us this mess. The Tories are the main culprits, so it's foolish to think they'll get us out of it.

As long as this government has billions to give to Ukraine…that’s the number 1 priority!

The prospect of investing during a period of higher inflation initially seemed daunting, but after speaking with investment analyst Joseph Sullivan Anderson, who devised a strategy to replace my underperforming fixed-income investments with a diverse portfolio that would generate higher returns, I was able to navigate it.
