What a great video! I’ve felt that I’m suffering from hypothyroidism and or Hashimoto’s. I cannot for the life of me to get a doctor to agree with me. They will only run tsh’s and tell me I’m within range. I recently had a thyroid ultrasound and it came back as a goiter and 6 nodules. They said to wait 6 months and come back. It’s so frustrating. I’m so literally tired of feeling like crap.

I’ve had symptoms most of my life and blood tests were normal. I it was horrible trying to get a doctor to listen. They’d just say that I was fine. My thyroid now is super low. I’m finally getting meds and doing my own research. You have helped me a lot to understand it better. Thank you Dr. Berry. God bless.

I have also been trying to get diagnosed for years, while I'm getting worse and worse, they ran a whole thyroid panel and always say I'm fine and it's psychological, which is bs. I have such a low body temperature I sleep in a ski suit! Thank you for making this video, it gives us strength to keep looking for a doctor who will actually diagnose us ( I live in Europe)

I was diagnosed with hypothyroidism, yet my blood work came back fine. They were basically like, "yeah, you have a thyroid problem, but everything is fine. Bye." I haven't found a doctor that is willing to help me. I'm freaking miserable.

Thank you for this. I'm suffering from extreme symptoms- joint pain/swelling, fatigue, headaches, immense brain fog- that's to name a few. My doc tested for TSH and t4. TSH came back "normal" but t4 came back low-normal. Of course, by their standards, I'm fine. I'm so frustrated and tired. This doc has let me down time and again. I think it's time to find a new one.

Absolutely brilliant info on thyroid issues, I’ve been diagnosed with thyroid issues for 16 years and I really wish I had this information then, uk doctors don’t take kindly to any input towards helping you feel normal. It’s only now I’ve begun to fight back after private bloods found out I was deficient in B12, vit D, magnesium, folate, selenium etc that they are following up (grudgingly).. No wonder the nhs is in such a mess.

My dad, like me, was diagnosed with Hashimoto disease based on TPO. Mine was 1170. My dad’s TSH dropped to almost nothing and his diagnosis changed to hyperthyroidism, but no matter what treatment they gave him, it didn’t help. So, his doc sent him to an endocrinologist who ran the panel and discovered dad was hypo, not hyper. My doctor is also only running the TSH. I was glad when I found out my rheumatologist ran my panel and PTO. Skip forward, now I’m showing as hyper based on TSH, but I’m gaining weight, hair is falling out like crazy-it’s so thin now, and I’m exhausted. I don’t have a social life at all. I worry about asking my doc to run the panel. I’m afraid he’ll think my concern is related to my Generalized Anxiety Disorder.

This happened to me. I suffered from bouts of intense dizziness. The doctor said thyroid tests were fine. I was left with no choice but to take mind altering depression and anxiety drugs because I couldn't safely drive. Eventually those meds led to a severe reaction and two years later after quitting I still suffer from twitching all over my body. Only this year a gynecologist discovered my hypothyroid. The medication they gave me armor thyroid fixed the dizziness within a few weeks. Dizziness that I had for 5 years....its amazing to me that so few tests need to be done to diagnose anxiety before treatment is prescribed. You can't ask the doctor to treat you for diabetes because you are overweight! Anyhow...thyroid problems can definitely cause anxiety.. and many other symptoms including dizziness

I had a complete thyroid panel done 7/2018. All tests were normal except Thyroid Peroxidase Antibody was 621.1 IU/ML (normal is less than 5.6 IU/ML.

I was retested again 7/2019.
All tests were normal except Thyroid Peroxidase Antibody is now 746.6 IU/ML (normal is less than 5.6 IU/ML.

Because of all the other thyroid test being normal I was told by one doctor they just wait until the thyroid burns out before it’s treated. Another doctor just recently told me that because my one test is abnormal it is not an indication of thyroid issues. She put me on an antidepressant. (I started Prozac last week)

Yet every day for the last year and a half I feel absolutely crappy.... mentally, emotionally, physically....all I want to do is lay down and go to sleep and not wake up.

My MD only tests my TSH, I am going to request he order a T3 and T4. Years ago he told me that testing my Vitamin D level was a waste of time so I told him I wanted my level tested anyway. My D level was extremely low, now I take 2, 000 IU of Vitamin D each day.

I've been to six endos! I have one nodule that's been biopsied four times! I was finally diagnosed with hashimotos, and decided to quit seeing my endos when they told me food had nothing to do with it and diet change would not help me! Thank you for this video!

Dear Dr. Berry, I died hitting the subscribe button.... but in a serious note, this is probably 100% describing my life. Only problem is, I haven’t been able to afford treatment so the keto diet and thyroid support is the best I can do right now.

Very helpful. Ordered my own private blood test (FT3, FT4, both antibodies, and TSH).

It's a process of elimination as to why I've felt half dead for the past 10 months (age 62, was very active, was slim).
