Yep I have it. Unfortunately the waiting list in Ireland to be diagnosed is ridiculous.

Lol! Love that it’s a short! Lots of adults suffer, we’ve just managed to function well enough to get by, or not. Yes, drugs can be helpful, but must be accompanied by a host of other supports - a good gut diet, regular exercise, meditation/journaling/reflection, CBT, life skills training such as organization and planning, external prodding for follow through, acceptance and celebration for neurodiversity. If you can get through school and find a life’s work that takes advantage of your strengths, it’s a bonus. Unfortunately for many, it’s a big struggle not to make impulsive choices, and our relationships and our professional lives suffer.

I have ADHD and it took forever to get tested so for ages I was just known as weird or crazy

Could you guys talk about female ADHD I was diagnosed a year ago as ADD but I recently found out while transferring doctors that my testing would put me into ADHD not ADD. I’m just wondering why would my doctor diagnose me wrong? 😅

Growing up, every kid had ADHD. We called it being a child.
