How did vector end up in jail on earth in despicable me 4? The last time we saw vector in despicable me, he was trapped on Mars. And there was no way he could escape! But what if I told you that has changed? Vector can be seen in prison, during maxime and gru's duet at the end of despicable me 4. There are few theories that suggests that the Minions went back to save vector out of pity. Another theory suggests that since Gru is now part of the AVL, there is a possibility that there was a mission to retrieve him and put him back into prison before he could cause more chaos.

I think that during Despicable Me 2 before Lucy met Gru Vector might’ve found his way back to earth and when he came to his lair to rebuild Lucy probably knew him form the villain profile and tased him and put him in jail that’s probably what happened but it’s just a theory a film theory-MatPat

I think I know what happened? The AVL started questioning gru about vector and he told them the whole scenario and some AVL employees have went to space serching for him. I know vector went to mars but i think it took a long time to find him and lock him up

Vector is an underrated character.

At least we got some clarification to see Vector is no longer trapped on Mars, which is good, because being in jail, would probably be better than being trapped on Mars. He’s a classic character, that’s also a meme legend, and given Illumination made despicable me 4, I wouldn’t be surprised if we got a Vector movie. 🤦

But I’d be happy to give it a watch.
