I used difference kind of laser boresight, I pointed the laser at the fence then zero scope at 10 yards just for reference then I go to the range to zero the scope the tradition way. If I don’t do that then at the range the first shot will be out side of the target sheet and take me for a while with many guessing shots to get the shot to the target sheet.

I use a similar device with a red lazer. Not too bad in the woods where my range is. Lots of shade. And I use only iron sights.

A word of caution with this device. Do not close the bolt onto it while in the chamber. Can cause permanent damage. Leave the bolt open and just slip the device into the chamber.

Very useful, it shows you can shine a laser light through a barrel.
But does it shine to a consistent point if taken out and replaced at a different angle (consistent repetition).
And how close to same point when repeatedly put in and out
It's use seems to be to get the rifle on paper for sighting in.
Once sighted in there will be a correlation between laser dot and scope zero as shown. So is it suitable or not to check the scope is still exactly zeroed in if in doubt?
