Linux: How to record audio from a DAW in OBS using JACK

software used:
pop!_os 21.04 (haven't gotten around to updating yet), 5.11 low latency kernel, gnome desktop environment - I don't think these really affect the process or the results
OBS, JACK, Catia (audio router), REAPER - all actually relevant. I only use Reaper but I assume this works in all DAWs.

Thanks you, thank you, thank you. Wanted to record some jamming with BespokeSynth and that very issue was doing me in. UbuntuStudio/studio controls/carla, worked just the same.
