‘He didn’t miss’: TV host praises Donald Trump’s Al Smith dinner speech

Sky News host James Morrow has reacted to the best bits of Donald Trump’s speech at the annual Al Smith dinner in New York.

Vice President Kamala Harris did not attend the event, instead opting to send in a pre-recorded video message.

Mr Morrow said the former president “didn’t miss” as the Republican presidential candidate jokingly refused to make fun of himself during his speech.

“Tradition holds that I’m supposed to tell a few self-deprecating jokes this evening, so here it goes… nope, I’ve got nothing.... there’s nothing to say,” Mr Trump told the crowd.
