Chart of Account nothing but the Account groups for which we create the GL for example Expense related GL/Revenue related GL /Asset related GL and Liabilities related GL . B. Types of COA are 3. a. Operating chart of account which is used for day to day transactions b. Country COA those are country specific for example in China they use country specific COA for legal purpose other and the last one is Group COA is used for consolidated financial report

last but not the least COA is configure at client level not company code level..
