Yeah, Unit 731 was basically Japanese looking at Germany's worst warcrimes and saying "Cute"

Remember, unit 731 did shit so nightmarishly evil, even the germans in the midst of flying the windmill of peace said "yall are wildin, and need to dial it back."

Fun fact: unit 731 is the reason we know at what temperatures babies will die at

For anyone wondering, Unit 731 is the reason why we know that the human body is roughly 60% water.

You know how raisins are made? Yeah they did that

Here’s an attempt at a YT-friendly description:
Unit 731 was a subsection of the Japanese military circa WWII, that took charge of “human experimenting” (the practical use of these experiments is… in question). Many of these experiments ended in prolonged suffering and functioned basically as pointless (censored word, starts with tor-). All of this was on a scale far beyond what we know took place in Germany, and much went undocumented.
By the end of WWII, when Japan’s surrender was imminent, any remaining survivors were offed and burnt in an attempt to cover up these events.
That’s a relatively PG version of this particular facet of Japanese unspeakable acts throughout the 20th century.

731... Whatever you hear about it... That is what they bothered to record... What they bothered to record...

Honestly, the worst part about Unit 731 is how much of their "research" ended up being completely outdated by the time it got shut down. All the suffering, and not even a _speck_ of good

The most horrifying aspect of Unit 731 is that

*WE DON’T KNOW HOW DEEP THEIR RABBIT HOLE GOES.* We’ve found only a slight sliver of evidence of their experiments that makes Mengele look like a junior researcher at 23 & Me.

WW2 Germany dehumanized their targets. WW2 Japan didn’t even think they were human to begin with.

Unit 731 did stuff so awful that the Nazis were horrified.

Ya know how China still kinda really hates Japan? Unit 731 is a pretty notorious reason why. Made the Chichijima incident look like a weekend picnic.

*Me who has listened to mutiple podcasts about Unit 731* Of course they were involved. I don't recommend looking it up unless you have a strong stomach.

Unit 731 was Japan's bio-warfare experimentation and operations organization. What it did to China was unspeakable. The reason some of them didn't get a rope at war crimes trials is it was suspected the Soviets were using bioweapons against the Nazis, and they got a ride on Operation Paperclip.

For those wondering: unit 731 is infamous for committing extrene amounts of war crimes. They mainly did chemical and biological warfare, and are estimated to have killed 14, 000 people directly, with another 300, 000 deaths caused by the illnesses created by them and affiliated groups. Their test subjects where dehumanized and refered to as "logs". There victims included not just men, but also women, including pregnant ones, and children born from the systematically r*pe perpetrated by their staff. *None* of their prisoners survived, with any who survived the experiments and tests being killed at the end of the war in order to conceal evidence.

Theres even more, but i want to be able to sleep tonight, so thats all you get.

Never forget 731! Japanese citizens are specifically taught nothing about WWII and the things their military did. Please, the events may be atrocious and horrific, but never forget lest we be doomed to repeat the past.

I strongly recommend looking up Unit 731. It should not be forgotten.

For the people who need a reference about how bad unit 731 was no no German officers were smuggling the Chinese out of there

The YouTube-Friendly version of Unit 731 is thus:

The unit referred to the victims of their numerous atrocities against humanity as "logs".
