Unlike many other drummers, this gentleman doesn't just keeps the beat or concentrated on technique too much, he is a MUSICIAN first and foremost, with impeccable taste, every time he actually PLAYS the song and does that thoughtfully and effortlessly. giving each song its own unique texture and character. He plays not only with his hands and feet, but with his head too, so to speak. I have to admit I didn't know anything about Larnell before, but was very happy to 'find' him.

Just found this masterpiece. I absolutely LOVE the way the bass and drums compliment each other. Also it's admirable how the composer is a drummer but the drums are neither less nor more since he doesn't have that egocentric attitude. Phenomenal!

I do really love the way Larnell interpret jazz drumming.
He is turly master drummer in all generes but this Jazz music, his own style of jazz drummins is trully remarkable.
Drum size, setting, cymblas, tone and playing, everything is perfect!
