I've never done a vim tutor speed test. But one time I typed 'reboot' on a machine, then realized I had meant to comment the last line in /etc/fstab before reboot. In the split seconds before losing my SSH session I was able to:

sudo vi /etc/fstab
Gdd:wq

Before getting disconnected. While a bunch of fellow Unix admins happened to be standing behind me watching. I didn't have to buy my own coffee for a week.

FAILED.... in 1:35 you deleted the first R from "error" leaving "eror" which is a mistake.... that's because you use the search pattern there for duplicated letters, but R in "error" should not have been removed

At 0:54 this is used: "/\v(.)\1'" + ENTER. That seems to jump to first occurence of a letter that is typed twice. I tried googling for it, why does it work/how does it work? I looked in the help-section it says \v is magic and () means "group as an atom". Where do the double-letter part come in?
