Men : work on yourself, life is hard. Women : you don't need to work on yourself it's the world that's wrong.

Mulan was my favorite Disney Princess as a kid. What they did to the new one broke my heart.

Mulan 1998 will always be the most bad*ss Disney princess, best soundtrack, best presentation of feminine strength and grace. Her story didn’t need to change, she was perfect.

men write heroic characters, women write themselves in heroic form

Funny how the only we they can think of writing a strong female character is having all the men weak. It's disastrous. No one buys that BS.

They say that women have never been represented before in the past. Yet there are tons of films and shows that have represented women and made them strong characters.

When my little sister was young, she always wanted to go ride bikes and hang out with me and the boys. Of course I let her and I was always very protective of her. Then one time I was grounded and she went out on her own and they started bullying her. She came home bawling and wouldn't say what happened so my stepmom let me be ungrounded so I could go figure out what happened. I found out that one of the little bastards kept trying to touch her so she ran away and came home. So the next day we formulated a plot to lure the kid to where I was waiting around a corner with a pair of boxing gloves. When I saw her round that corner, she was grinning from ear to ear and as soon as he came into view, we both beat the living shit out of him. She played to her strengths! She was SOOO fast on her feet and has always been super patient and able to plan ahead and able to predict how people will react. The whole idea was her's and she knew that if I had just went and tried to eat him myself, he would just hide inside his house and not come outside. So basically, she set up all the pieces, and I was her tool of vengeance lol. She even stopped me from hurting him TOO badly and came up with the cover story on how we would get away with it. A few years later we were camping and she told my stepmom what happened that day by accident and I thought I was for sure in trouble. But instead she teared up, and hugged me and told me that she was so proud of me for protecting my sister. That was when I realized that women aren't necessarily weaker than men. They're just strong in different areas.

I stopped taking a lot of action movies seriously when I started seeing how lots of women are easily beating up men 2 to 3 times their size, with no effort whatsoever. We’ve gotten to the most where we’re embracing delusions in order to make the “victims” feel “more safe”.😂😂 and they expect grown men to just go along with this stuff like we’re children, or risk being branded as misogynists and patriarchal perpetrators lol.

Never saw the movie but I worked in the steel mill during the 70's. I had to work smarter to get things done. I was one of the first female electricians in the company. The first one is more realistic.

I can’t help but laugh at it these days. Women can’t be up unless they put men down fictionally lol

Some people are still yet to learn the difference between Heroines and Mary Sues

Sounds like Disney star wars. And new Disney marvel.

The first Mulan movie made me cry.

I was in a theatre in maybe 98 or 99. I'll never forget it

Fantasy fulfillment.
Problem/action/solution. Disenfranchise everyone, and then give them bread and circuses. People who don't "believe in conspiracies" should look around at the dual-income family and the ubiquitous lack of happiness in the western world. What was all that work for us the next generation has to work harder? Who is benefiting. Who, really..

They simply are omnipotent, perfect princesses, all of them.
They need no learning, no practice.
Nothing. Except your money, ofc. Now, bow down, creeps.

That’s embarrassing. That a MAN can show a more accurate female portrayal in 1998 than a woman can now 😂😂

Honestly, for me, the ultimate crime regarding the remake is that there’s no Mushu😂

And as in real life, the man is based in reality and logic and created a beloved and realistic character…. well the woman isnt and didn’t and the movie lacks due to her lack of well everything.
