Sony A1 review: The Alpha of mirrorless cameras

preview_player
Показать описание
Sony’s A1 is a showcase of technology including 8K video and up to 30 fps shooting with a 50-megapixel sensor. It’s very expensive, but its cutting-edge features are likely to trickle down to less-costly cameras down the road.

Good review. Too expensive for me but its a great showcase for the latest tech. Excited for Sony’s future prosumer cameras.

While some may not like it. My favorite part about my A7C is that the screen flips around and can be entirely hidden/protected. I am considering a massive upgrade to my equipment but something even as simple as that might deter me.

The only two things I really wish Sony would fix are #1. A better and more intuitive menu system similar to the Canon. And #2. A better rear touch screen.

So, electronic shutter with flash is not a big deal eh? Nor is 1/400th flash sync mechanical (1/500th apsc mode)? How about flicker-free shooting at 20-30fps in artificial light? 1/32000 max shutter speed?

Man I wish they come out with a software update for older Sony cameras to make older cameras have the same menu. That menu system looks way better than the one in my a7iii 😂.

nice video, helpful. You mentioned the rolling shutter is hardly noticeable I can see bad rolling shutter in the landscape test from across the river bridge and church shot. great insight though, its just a shame photography is becoming so serious each Year.

This guy mentioned how expensive the A1 is ten times and said it is far too expensive unless you make your living doing photography. He is not qualified to acess the attributes of this camera being so fixated the price. Has he ever heard of companies named Leica or Hasselblad? Thumbs down!

Canon users are about to discover that a stacked sensor adds at least $2k to the cost of a camera, now that Canon is going stacked. Get ready for sticker shock

From my understanding an ethernet port takes a lot of space and can cause electrical noise or interference problems or worse. So is there any point of putting it there in the first place ? What kind of people would buy this for vlogging or live streaming indoors ? I am unable to understand the need of putting an ethernet port in the same body as a standard camera. The space it occupies could have gone towards improving the cooling.

Sony pictures have the best look to them. I absolutely love the depth of field focus. It is the best in the business. I will say, however that this camera Is only a few percentage points better than my a 58.

Sony make amazing products, but often sabotage themselves. The non-reversible viewfinder will cost them a shitload of sales.

I paid $900 for TWO Sony CF-Express A cards for my A1 and I'm not very happy. Wish Sony would've just went with Type B. It's faster while still around the same price.
