Biggest difference between Modi and Mamata is Modi helped Gujarati industrialists to become rich and make Gujarat into an industrial powerhouse.
Mamata, continued with regressive leftist politics of opposing industries which led to little to no industrial development under her rule and therefore no business house funding her political party.
This has forced her to get funds from all kinds of illegal methods which is not only alienating her from the masses but also making her vulnerable to central law enforcement agencies.
Had she done what Modi did in Gujarat she would not only be free of corruption charges but truly be a leader of national stature.

The funny part is that for Mood of the nation poll last month showed that AAP will lose all 7 seats in parliament elections. So, why are we saying that AAP is surging nationally? I think a lot of journalists want to root for the underdog here to make the contest interesting.
