I fish primarily for salmon. This weekend we fished Astoria, in the Columbia River. We fished Merwin for trout. Tillamook, Or for salmon, and bottom fish. And the Lewis.

Anchor lock held in the Columbia on a 5' tide swing at 0.0 mph at ebb. On level 10 it worked my 18' jetsled upriver at 1.2 mph. Definitely use legacy auto pilot mode. 5 hrs on River.

Battled heavy tides, winds, and boat chop on mouth of Lewis River. Side wind is hard on the unit. I should have turned it off and just used the main kicker. 4 hrs

In the Ocean we had 5-8' swells searching for Coho. Auto pilot worked flawlessly. Didn't need the main kicker to help at all. Used anchor lock for halibut in 160 ' I did use the main kicker to help hold here. To keep the power at 5. 60" shaft with 24" sidewalls on the boat. Motor came out of the water 3 times all weekend. 6 hrs

Went looking for trout on Merwin. Super quiet. Troll for an hour without touching the boat motor. Kokanee fishing with the kids is going to be super chill now. 2 hrs

60" Riptide 112 36v on 18' motion marine jetsled. Single 36v LI battery.

I have had great success with my Ulterra and love it. It's coming up on my 4th season with the same motor and over 100 remote launches in all kinds of situations and conditions. I plan to make a video detailing my thought processes and technique for reference sometime soon. Thanks Minn Kota!

I was all about this motor, very proud of it when I got it installed on the champ. Everyone watches as it does its magic, but everyone also watches when it stops functioning as you have to take it apart to manually stow it. Mine had issues after one month of weekend warrior use . They are also pricey to have repaired. If you have throw away money and like to work for repairs than I suggest get one . Otherwise I do not recommend at all, get yourself manual deploy and stow . Also save yourself the time, energy and money trying to mount a garmin transducer on it unless you like humminbird electronics and want to use the built in transducer . All in all I rate this motor a 4 out of 10 and do not recommend for the avid fisherman.

I love this commercial! Talk about cool. Just let the boat float freely off the trailer, auto deploy the trolling motor, set the electronic anchor and call it to come fetch you (like man's best friend) at the dock after you park your vehicle. Heaven?

Just want to put it out there. The time when the boat was heading to the dock is totally off. Including the one when he gets on from the time he first launched the boat. All I can say is, look at the outboard trimmed. Someone in editing messed up.
But regardless, I want one.
