My mom always thinks she's right. And when I told her to always keep the lid down, she got mad at me and argued with me on why we have to close the lid. I told her this reason and she didn't have anything to say back to me since she probably know that I was right, so she just screamed at me abt my grades and schoolwork. Gosh, I hate my mom for being always like that.

Edit: till this day, my mom still doesn't close the lid. And she told my little sister last night to always keep the lid open bc when men pee, they always have it open or sum. And she said, only close the lid when you want to sit. And I was in the living room so dumbfounded. But I've already told my little sister multiple times that mother is wrong and to close the lid down, always. She believes me. So she always close the lid. I've shown her enough evidence too to why we have to always close it.

I prefer to go in toilet where lid is up because it could be a nightmare if u put the lid up and some mushroom are floating... Now you can't leave bathroom else person outside will blame you in his mind

I think a man should put down the lid TWICE per day to make things truly equitable. Let me explain. Assuming both men and women pee 5x/day and poo 2x/day, and that they both live alone, the man needs 4 seat changes, (2 for each poop). In contrast, the woman needs 0 seat changes while she lives alone. With the traditionally 'equitable' solution, after they move in together, that number changes to 6 for the woman, and 6 for the man. (This assumes a 50% likelihood that the seat is down when one of them goes to poop.) Now, that represents a 6 point increase in seat change count for the woman, while only a 2 point increase for the man. So as a solution to this inequity, if the man were to put the seat down twice per day, that would bring their post co-habitation delta to 4 each, making for a truly equitable solution.
