In the first episode, join Springer Nature Editor in Chief, Sir Philip Campbell, In Conversation with Professor Heidi Larson, anthropologist and co-founder of the Vaccine Confidence Project, author of Stuck: How Vaccine Rumours Start and Why They Don’t Go Away, and one of the BBC’s 100 most inspiring and influential women in 2021. Many people with whom I've spoken over the last two years have chosen to rely on their own immune system, not understanding that a vaccine is priming/educating the individual's immune system. In your experience do you think a 'cartonish' or animated presentation of immune response might be effective? Challenging, but do you think this information which is not as dependent on authority, although expertise could be helpful?
