What Are the Best Cooperative Board Games EVER?

Some times you don't want to compete against your friends. Sometimes you want to sit down around a table and work together to complete a gaol that would otherwise be impossible alone. Sometimes... you want to play a Co-op board game!

From Pandemic to Zombicite, we attempt to show you the best of the best... that we've played. There are a several Kickstarter exclusives on this list, but we tried to throw in a lot of readily available games too!

My #1 Coop game right now is ‘Unsettled’! I love this game. And the coop aspect works so well.

Great list! I am always looking for good cooperative games, my wife is not a big board gamer and so I'm always looking for cooperative games that we can play together.

And I will agree with Gloomhaven, I'm not a big fan and really did not enjoy it all that much. The first couple of games I thought it was pretty cool and interesting, but then it really started to take a nose dive. The game was just far too fiddly with way too much upkeep during the game, in addition although there was story in between scenarios most scenarios came down to enter the map and kill the bad things, it just got repetitive.

Honorable mention to Betrayal at House on the Hill, , which is mostly cooperative, except for the one bastard who betrays the team.

I realized they were twins at the 30:00 mark, I just saw co-op, clicked and watched. I probably have a group that'd be interested in The 7th Continent, and Horrifed American Monsters is the go to, the new ones I've heard a 'meh'. Probably just going to buy Pandemic, the OG one, the 10th anniversary, I read that it doesn't go well with the expansions. But thanks!

I’m surprised you never mentioned ’Spirit Island’. This is game is many people’s favorite game, let alone favorite coop.

You should try Ghost stories. It's up to 4 players vs the game. You play Kung fu monks trying to save a town from attacking ghosts, untill the big bad shows up, which you then have to defeat before the deck runs out. It's pretty hard. 1 way to win, 3+ ways to loose.

The game mechanic in Similo reminds me of Mysterium.

Where did you find the mri/ct components for rush MD? Also, what is the ap called for rush md. I can’t seem to find it

Another recent one is Unmatched tales to amaze. Where regular Unmatched is a VS game, Tales to amaze makes this 1-4 player Co-op against the game. If you ever wanted to take on the Moth man and it's monster minions with Bigfoot, Bloody Mary, Dracula and a T-Rex then this is the game for you! ( Bigfoot, Bloody Mary, Dracula and T-Rex sold seperatly)

I love Arkham Horror the Card Game and The Plum Island Horror. Have Dawn of the Zeds but have not yet

I got all 3 Horriefieds, Pandemic in WoW and Cthulhu flavours. NOTLD Zombicide aswel as the Marvel zombies X-men one. Marvel united, Ghosts stories, Unmatched TTA, King of Monster island, Imperial assault, D&D Castle Ravenloft and Legend of Drizzt, Eldritch horror, Elder sign and X-men mutant insurection. Huh, guess I got more co-op games then I tought.
