Показать описание
The belly press test is used to evaluate the subscapularis muscle for rotator cuff tears and tendinopathies. The patient places their hand in front of their chest and attempts to press against their belly. The examiner resists the internal rotation. In a variant version, the patient presses directly onto their belly. A positive test is pain, weakness or inability to maintain the press against resistance.
