Captivating slow motion footage shows moment lightning strikes a beach | Mashable

A slow-motion video has captured the moment lightning struck a beach in Florida.

The footage, filmed by Clint Blevins, was taken during a storm at Daytona Beach. It shows the incredible power of the lightning strike, as it illuminates the sky.

The lighting was so fast that the wave looks like it's not moving! And camera's fast enough to capture it! :O

for anyone who wants to know, this is a rare type of lightning. im not sure of name as i cant find it but this lightning is actually 100 times brighter than what you see most of the time. you can also see in the slowmo that steam is produced from the extreme heat of this. that would normally occur with lightning.

I was in Daytona Beach in June 2018 and saw lightning every day I was there. One of those days I was in a pool and kept seeing lightning strikes off in the distance and nobody was getting out, but then lightning struck and less than 3 seconds later I heard the thunder. Everyone including me got out after that.

Omg I live in St.Augustine Florida I was at the beach when that storm passed through thank god I didn't go to Daytona beach they are right near each other
