There's two ways you can listen to this song. A: You can imagine Mark singing the lyrics to us (Which is what I think was originally intended) or B: You can imagine yourself or the commuity singing it to Mark. Either way you listen to this, it still hits you with a waterfall of feels. 😢

This song kills me and destroys me. It explains the way people feel to YouTubers. They may not know them personally, but they care so much about them. The internet has changed the world in a wonderful way. It brought us all together. We can help each other, and reach out if one of us need help.

if I may just give my own little interpretation here.
I feel like the first verse is from a "fan" point of view. going through the motions, starting to lose hope, yet still holding on to the person on the other side of the screen, wondering if that person knows how much they mean to that fan.

and I feel the second verse is from the "creator" point of view (be it a youtuber or a friend or musician or whatever) who has accomplished so much and is so grateful for the people who have stood by them, and they want desperately to show to their "fans" how much they care.

and both parties never knew in the beginning that "you would be here too".

it may not be right, but this is what it means to me and I enjoy interpreting it this way
