Edit- Adding onto this after rewatching a few times - none of the Angels look particularly pleased to see her. It almost looks like TaiYi’s looking down on her, and Naoki seems vaguely annoyed and unimpressed.

OMFG OMG OMG MAKEDA MAKEDA MAKEDA GORGEOUS GORGEOUS MY QUEEN. I LOVE YOUR ANIMATION MEMES SO MUCH, SO GLAD TO SEE THEM AGAIN!!! IT LOOKS ABSOLUTELY AMAZING AND THE VIBES ARE JUST ANOTHER LEVEL FANTASTIC. I REALLY LOVE GETTING TO KNOW MORE ABOUT YOUR OCS, THEY ARE SO INTERESTING 😭😭💕💕💕 THE DETAILS MAN, THEY ARE SO GOOD. Makeda being seen as literally God by the other Angels shows how strong she is, like she has such a big impact of everything. And then, I see her struggling which gives me the idea that the Angels and her Sins don't seem to know her at best. She gives of a great impact to everyone, but she seems burned out? She seems like she is masking her true self, or trying to forget who she is or forgetting who she was. I could even say that she seems lonely. Oh, and it seems like she got sacrificed which is why she turned into a spirit. Maybe that makes her rely on God when she feels left out?

ugh i FINALLY have time to scream about this!!! okay so so so. it starts with the angels out together, after a battle perhaps? and makeda is whooping and toasting the others but she feels like shes not actually connecting with them, seemingly thinking that they dont really like her, either cause of her status, or because they dont vibe together, or both. i cant tell if the incense sticks are symbolic of anything (hints?? 👀) but the roots i think are the altar/idol of the god she worships, silent. her hands twitching imply that shes being reprimanded, either by herself or the others. but then (i looked up the english translation of this in trickle's cover of the song) she seems to be saying "she doesnt want to care but keeps getting pulled back/can't get enough" which is most likely about her religion/faith but also perhaps about a love of fighting?? we dont really know how she became this strong, but maybe she wants to never be weak again (if she was murdered by a cult like someone said) or if shes fighting in the name of her god but is addicted to the thrill of battle even though she feels guilty about it.

or perhaps its about her want to be more connected to the others versus her wanting to retain her status as number one?

also this frame dude i love it so much the movement is so clean which program is it?? your art has become SO MUCH MORE beautiful and smoother. makedas character design is one of the best ive ever seen and my personal goal to reach in oc design i love her lip piercings i love her body markings i love that the ones under her eyes look like tears i love her elf ears i love her undercut i love her hairpiece i love how her hair strands are connected in that little piece in front i love that she's put her hair up??? somehow im very stuck on that, growing out my hair rn so i can copy it. also she looks so SADD CAN I PLEASE GIVE HER A HUG AND TELL HER IM ON HER SIDE

moving on! the prayer in between in flashes is damn cool, ran them all through translate. love how it slowly turns all red as the video goes on.

then we have her running in a short dress as a kid (ancient Grecian clothing perhaps???) and as a young adult in more mature clothing, before she FUCKING DIES MY POOR GIRL. later frames tell us she was hung, though the blood suggests it wasnt her who did it or that she was a willing sacrifice who changed her mind last moment and struggled (LEMME HUG). then she changes into her spirit form for two frames, meaning shes been here a while, and i just LOVE how the clothing matches what she wore in the young adult frame but is so much sharper with the higher heels and pointed anklets and more practical cape!!

also this whole thing is under the lyric "your dreams are so big, theyre so big" which maybe means she never got to do what she wanted to do?

then is the other three bowing before her and OH MY GOD PLEASE I AM JUST ONE LESBIAN YOU CANT DO THIS WARRIOR QUEEN LOVE OF MY LIFE CAN I BOW WITH THEM PLEASE I LOVE HER SO MUCH SHES SO BADASS AND STRONG AND COOL AND PRETTY WHERE ARE MY MAKEDA SIMPS IS THERE A DISCORD I NEED TO HAVE A POSTER OF HER ON MY WALL RN

the hair flying in the wind is really a very nice touch to the whole thing!! also her eyes constricting as she looks down on them- WHAT DOES IT MEANNN is it just aesthetic, is she enjoying her power over them, i need to KNOW. also i need to see her beat someone up and i volunteer.

then the beer frame which shows that she probably uses drinking to cope with her past trauma and loneliness listen u dont understand i need to hug her rn.

then the fun part!! good ol' "hear no evil, speak no evil, see no evil" (the way almost every house i go to has these statues lmao i can never escape it) and all the grey morality that comes with THAT mindset, can't wait to see that. she seems to be welcoming people in the first one, then enjoying something with the heart symbol (maybe she saw a cute plushie lol. pics of her collection dropping when.) then is the see no evil one which means she turns the other way sometimes or is blinded by her faith into bad decisions. then her ADORABLE SMILE WITH THE LIL FANG I LOVE, trying to keep morale up perhaps? then hear no evil where she looks kinda out of it, so either shes too tired of it all or shes too busy trying to cope with ptsd to hear the problems or shes on purpose ignoring criticism. then is the heart gesture (LOVE HER CLAWS SM WHAT THOSE FINGERS DO-) which i found really cute cause even after all this time she still has hope!! she still loves!! and encourages others to do the same!!

i really really found it interesting how her expression slowly becomes flatter as the cycle goes on, starting out happy, then slowly looking tired, before looking completely blank by the time she crosses her fingers over her lips. that last frame is SO cool cause it could be her either not speaking up, or being supressed by something else thats stopping her from telling the others about something important or her own faith silencing her. she looks helpless and exhausted and fed up at the same time- WHATS THE BACKSTORYYYY MY GIRL LEMME HOLD HER PLS

then its her praying in front of the altar, almost completely prostrate and desperate. i LOVE how it changes to the battlefield and the sword its sUCH A GOOD TRANSITION AAAHHH. i think either whatever she rulebook she follows is violence-oriented or shes just desperately waiting for an answer of some kind before and after battles and the rest of her life is just endless fighting and politics. interesting that taiyi comes in at the "IQ slipping down" line too- he looks the most scornful of her faith, possibly he thinks that makeda is being stupid for believing so hard.

next few runs- oh BOY i smell war crimes!! jk but also oooh possibly makeda grey morality arc? she seems to be assigning levin a project, but also that smile is a very "i know youre suspicious of me" kind from his POV. although it could still be a misunderstanding/ trust issues from his side as she seems genuine from the first frame, the lyric is also "wont you burn for me?" i think, so maybe he thinks of her as someone who sees them as expendable.

then omg I LOVE HIS EAR FLICK AS HE HEARS HER COMING DUDE THAT LITTLE DETAIL MADE ME GO FERAL I LOVE WHEN THE ANIMALISTIC FEATURES COME OUT I LOVE WHEN THEY ACTUALLY USE THEIR EARS TO HEAR I LOVE HOW SEAMLESS THE ANIMATION WAS!!! and this is interesting toooo omg even naoki isnt completely on board with her? she seems like shes trying her best to be friendly but he looks pretty guarded. i think he can see something (WHAT DO THE EYES MEAN) within her that the others cant perhaps that makes them both more cautious of the other in general.

then the scribbled out face run i love it smmmm

then i think one of her sins doesnt seem to notice, but the other is silently observing her and worried as she slowly breaks down over time? i think the head in hands part is possibly the same chair as the first one where they're at the table, showing how shes slowly losing her mind even when shes with others, isolated and alone. theres no way shes not smart enough to know what the others think of her and its slowly pulling at her maybe?

then the EYE AGAIN!! AT THE ALTAR!! and the lone candle still burning under it!!!! and her as a kid when she was still innocent and had freedom (relatively) and then the noose oh my god. is that why she wears such a heavy full-coverage neckpiece??? it would make so much senseee. my poor BABY lemme HUG HER.

and then finally her going INSANE and saying "god is dead"??? holy FUCK WOW I CANT WAIT FOR WHEN WE SEE THE AFTERMATH SHIT OMG
