Stitches 101: The Jasmine Stitch

Here's a quick tutorial on my new favorite stitch: The Jasmine Stitch! This stitch creates a thick, squishy fabric with a flower design. It uses up a lot of yarn but the final product is worth it!

I saw your Short and instantly knew I wanted make a blanket. I’ve never crochet before, so I paused and played back at least 50 times but I finally got the hang of it. I might have spend my whole day today crocheting 3 rows 😂 Don’t know why I thought It was a good idea to do a 5 ft x 7 ft blanket 😅

I’ve seen a lot of people saying they struggled with tutorials for this stitch. I didn’t have the chance to struggle because I managed to stumble upon this tutorial first. This was the third stitch I learned. It was called the snowflake ❄️ stitch way back in the 1980’s.
Beautiful pattern. I’m going to make wash cloths with this stitch.

Not as easy as it looks!!! Its about keeping tension in the right place so the chain stitch stays tight and your loops dont get pulled short!!
