You are a master communicator, the world can learn from your style 🙏🏼

I always gain so much from your videos! Just purchased 2020 gx460 at 50k km in Dubai, which has a similar weather and terrain to your videos.

You’re teaching me a lot! Sensei!!

Purchasing a brand new GX tomorrow and can't wait! Been doing so much research and have so many more ideas for what I want my rig to become. I'm following your channel now and look forward to future videos. Thanks.

I appreciate your effort in educating the younger generation and bringing clarity to those of us who find ourselves caught between the old and new. I hope your channel continues growing and reaching more people with its great wisdom!

Added a magnaflow exhaust. I swear I get an extra 1 mpg. Not loud at all. Could be in my head but it makes me smile.

Yeah I recently drove my 2020 Gx460 from Las Vegas to LA and was alway in that power band and got there in 2ish hours. The cars on the highway couldn’t keep up with me I red lined every gear on that trip. 😝 I took it easy on the trip home from LA to the Bay Area and got 456 miles in one tank averaging 23 mpg.

I will say these GX's sure do have some serious power when you unleash it. And yes the Italian tune up is more than safe. Thank you for sharing. Man I love the desert!! I miss riding out there. Looking forward to this fall/winter /spring riding season.

I bought a '96 Mustang GT 23 years ago. That 4.6 SOHC had more torque than the 5.0 that came before it, though it did have some troubles of its own. That car is currently sitting outside with 220K on the clock. 19 years ago I bought a '96 Dodge diesel 4X4. It's sitting outside with 340K on it. My 2015 GX will probably pass them up. I landed on this video while searching for anybody who has done any tuning on a GX. You are getting it all right. You are providing solid information.

2015 GX perfect condition. This video really helps, I’ve always been afraid to run a V8 at 5000+rpm and now I’m going to use it there. Thanks!!

I have been enjoying your videos. I just got a 2018 gx 460 with 28k miles. A friend of mine had mentioned to me the some advantages as I was really looking into a 4runner. I am so glad I got the GX. From the moment I sat in it I fell in love. Now I have been thinking about modind it for off road. After watching your video on not lifting it i am convinced on leaving it just as it came. However, I will be putting a roof rack and other accessories for the interior. As well as some more aggressive tires. Ill be posting them on my channel. Thank you

Premium gas (93 RON in Texas), Toyota intake airflow accelerator trumpet (goes in the fender), clean Denso air filter, And 5w-30 full synthetic oil.... I make great power everywhere. Runs much smoother on 5w-30 M1 (love Castrol as well). The airflow accelerator really helped throttle response.

Also, make sure your fender well liners are in good shape; if they aren't, your intake (in the fender) will suck in hot air that spills into your wheel well. You can see your IATs drop over 10F in traffic just by going from missing fender liners to fender liners in-place.

Fabulous video. Researching these GX 460's for some time. Thanks for adding this gold nugget of info on power band driving.

Kind of wish the GX460 had the 5.7L V-8. The 460 is so much heavier than the 470 it just feels sluggish in comparison.
