Bihu Performance at IISER Bhopal | Lohri Cultural Night 2025

Bihu, the vibrant festival of Assam, symbolizes the essence of Assamese culture and unity. Celebrated thrice a year—Rongali, Kongali, and Magh Bihu—it marks seasonal transitions and showcases the state's rich traditions. Magh Bihu, also known as Bhogali Bihu, is the harvest festival that celebrates abundance, with community feasts, traditional delicacies, and joyous bonfires lighting up the winter nights. At IISER Bhopal, we had the privilege of representing Assam's culture by organizing a beautiful Magh Bihu celebration. It was a heartfelt endeavor to share the spirit of this festival through songs, dances, and traditional Assamese customs, bringing a slice of Assam to the heart of our campus.
