I will start off by saying, I do not recommend that the general public repair or service their equipment as there are many safety concerns. Do not put your life at risk because you watched a video on YouTube that showed you how to do it. But this video is very fundamental and straight forward. However, there's one safety concern he forgot to mention. Be sure your power to the inside unit is OFF or in the OFF position. This is because of a potential low voltage (24V) shock when transferring 2 of your wires to the new contactor [Blue & Black]. Carelessly handling these wires could cause you to become the path of least resistance!

should you be tightening the power in wires right under the screw? my existing contactor has a lug screw to put the wire in and tighten down, but my new contactor is exactly like the one you're installing where it just has the push fittings.

Do I need to discharge the capacitor first? If so, can I do it with all of the wires connected without damaging other components?

My air-conditioning doesn’t seem to turn off immediately when it hits the set temperature. Is this a relay or thermostat issue?

I have a AC/ heater unit. as so as plug it in. it trip! even then the unit is in the off position. help

Why is that called a "Contactor Relay" ? Supply houses either call them contactors or they call them relays. What is the difference?

I need an all new ac unit, but I just changed the capacitor and now need to change the rusted relay! Thank you for this video because I'll be saving and watching as I replace mine! Which I'll be doing as soon as they get the correct relay in stock! I was told for a new outside unit it would cost around $4400 and I have all brand new central ac so I guess I'm confused because I found a heating and air conditioner Goodman brand for $1500. So I'm so confused 🤔 on what to do because I just spent $200, 000 on this house! 🤦🏼‍♀️

And before they do that is many thinks to follow first.
