I'll add some context here for everyone. He is the owner of Cicio performance. He specializes in modifying gtrs, r8/lambo v10s, and the C8. He is talking about why C8s that have 700-1000 +hp have slower 1/4 mile times and 60-130 times than other platforms with the same power level. Once transmissison tuning comes out, the platform will be quicker. For example, you have 1000 hp corvette c8 60-130 time in 5 seconds when a 1000 hp 10 speed mustang will be high 3-4 seconds.

The issues in these times is everyone wants to compare stock cars to their fully built supercharged/twin turbo drag car with a fully built motor, suspension, drag slicks and all that shit. 495 hp stock is a fast car and that is coming from someone that regularly rides street bikes that absolutely walk the built motor cars. Anyone that disagrees bring your supercharged Camaro, mustang your hellcat shit bring your Porsche or GTR that shits still gonna lose 😂 but once again comparing a bike to a stock “super car”/hellcat or whatever you wanna run is the same as comparing a hellcat to a civic nothing alike. Just bc you have a 1200 whp car doesn’t mean that a 500 hp car is slow it just means yours is much faster and just bc 500 feels “SLOW” to YOU doesn’t actually make it slow

I’ve driven a C8 it was not as quick as I expected it to be when I launched it. It’s still a quick and awesome car but I was expecting more from it.

I'm no tuner/mechanic, but I've driven a C8 Stingray and I can confirm it is both quick and fast. I clocked a 0-60 in 3 seconds and it showed no hesitation on slowing down. That's just the BASE model.

Correct. Bolt ons are the way to go until they Can unlock the TCU. The zr1 has lighter gears so we know that is coming to the c8 down the road. Once the TCU is unlocked the Eray will be a contender on the streets.

This clip is taken out of context. He is talking about comparing modified C8 corvettes and other modified cars. He is stating that the reason C8s have not made huge waves yet is because of the stock gearing and clutches.
