Is Asphalt Legends Unite Dying?

Many people have asked me, since Asphalt Legends Unite was globally released, to make a video talking about the current status of the game after the decease of Asphalt 9: Legends as the result of this new game expansion. The global release was a bit of a bumpy road, but, three months have passed and after having the chance to talk with the community about it, I've come to a set of conclusions which I'll show to you today, while I also show some asphalt legends unite gameplay with a bunch of random cars I've been not using for a while. Those of us who have started with asphalt 9 should feel lucky because now after the unite it is not even fun to be a beginner. After 3 years of playing I have came to a point where I play it for the sake of love towards the game. No more stress to miss out.

Biggest difference btw unite and china imo is that availability of cars and currency.

U need 40-50k tokens to max out a high end car which takes about 1 -2 years for f2p players(im talking abt one car)

But in china version u can get that many tokens in a few months even as a beginner.

Either make cars more cheap or give us that many tokens to us

I play this game for less than 30 mins per day and that is at least enough to keep me happy and satisfied and I don’t care about the new cars or good cars or the bad points of this game

It is. I started playing in June last year, and had a ton of fun. Especially during the Deus Vayanne season. I also completed my first showroom, and it felt amazing. But ever since A9 became ALU, it felt like a cartoon / ripoff version of A9. Its just not the same anymore man

Of course putting Bridgestone billboards all over the game is easier than fixing the bugs and glitches that are ruining the gameplay.

Dude they didn't even add an option to change the graphics to the old one😭😭 when i opened the game and saw thay they didn't, i was very disappointed. Fingers crossed 🤞 they will add it in the next few updates, it will benefit the player base SOOOO much it's honestly crazy they still haven't done it yet

And beside that, there is nothing wrong with the game especially when it works on multiple devices and different operation systems where the graphics look good enough for that and i think there will always be a time they can go deeper than that!…

Personally, I enjoy the game when you are in the middle of progressing in the game, where you have a certain goal within the game and that you feel good when you achieve that goal.

need that seasonal MP2 with featured regulated cars. that I and many miss a lot, it made us feel connected to the season and the cars in a way and gave us a good place to try out the cars and we could potentially make decisions to invest based on ft. cars performance. not to mention how fun max free try cars were

For me, it simply because the current game was harsh to new player. One of my club had multiple smurf accounts and he stated that his Lv.15 and lower accounts saw little to none progression regarding of car collection, and kinda forced players to buy packs or daily pass to catch up some good car hunts and starways simultaneously. The game silently ask the new players to invest their entire time in order to progress quicker and gain more, which is kinda sad

What have au realised is that if u don’t grind the game 24/7 with a good clan and good cars to reach at least one 6 start car u will be stuck hard u won’t be able to unlock new cars and complete events and u won’t be able to progress in camping like in chapter 3 u need a McLaren P1 wich is hard to get what to say about the vencer and the bmw i8 Roadster this 2 cars have me stuck hard

We’re a relatively small community but the game has started to die on Switch. I play with controllers and use tilt and have not been affected as much as stick users but looking at in relative terms many have quit. The graphics, as you pointed out, are more or less worse than in A9. We were promised catch up events since we were a year behind global but it has not materialized at all. There’s so much talk from GL’s side but no action.
The pay to win tactics have put off even more people. And then there’s the psychological effect, 50% of my club members from A9 have quit or are not bothered to play at all and it has put a strain on comeradery since it’s difficult to kick out members you’ve shared good and bad with for three or more years. Sure, there are more events and less grinding to do compared to A9 but the amount of negative aspects prevail unfortunately.

I do play a9 china more often now it's just better in progression

4:25 there is a speedtrick where you have to go right and right before the ramp, drive left into the air at 4:27. This will respawn you in the middle of the air at 61% of the race. Hope i helped ❤ :D

I am a casual player, played this game (A9) since 2018 till now, and spent almost zero dollars. I feel like the game now has so many options of events to help different level of players to advance. My garage is at Level 40, and I have 193 cars. My strategy is to safe tokens for cars that I can enjoy driving (as a TD user).
For beginners, I recommend finishing (maxing) all cars in Daily events (car hunts, daily car loot, exclusive events, etc), after that try completing Starway event (especially Huracan event). When you're done, you can move on to Special hunts/events. As the video explains, it is still beneficial to play as a casual player. You just progress slower than P2W players. Don't take the game too hard, have low expectations, and you may enjoy the game as it is, a game.

For me, I want to see Legends Unite bring more new game modes, improve the performance on lower-end devices, improve the career, and bring offline play for everyone. Yes, graphics are something that’s raving around every IP, but looks won’t make it the best. It’s what the devs bring to the table along with the updates, it will bring more and more people to hop in. Since you mentioned the Gauntlet being added, I also want to see 1v1 return featuring the updates new cars to grab blueprints, credits, tokens, and it’s factory imports as a great head start to make progression. With Gauntlet, the rewards can be the same and add overclock chips to help fill up the bank, without having to spend on the useless pass. If anyone would like to see something new, please let the devs know, so they can take the time to cook or even grill it.
