After twenty years of owning various Jaguar's, and for seven years a Maserati Ghibli Diesel, in July '22 I took delivery (I was told I was the first to take ownership in the UK and Europe!) of an identical car to your test car albeit with the 'arctic white/lagoon green' interior, and without the executive pack (rear screens, heated rear seats, soft close doors, and blinds) which i think is really intended for someone who has a chauffeur, as the screens really just work the functions of the screen in the front. At the time I paid around £77, 500 which is more than 10 grand less than its closest rival the Mercedes EQE, although its gone up a bit since then.
Many have asked how it compares to my previous car's, and most are surprised when I say this is the best car I have ever owned!!
Continually its confused as being a Bentley, which as the car was styled by Bentley's ex head of design- Luc Donkerwolke is probably not that surprising, but of course its less than half the price!
For me as a gadget fanatic the level of specification is brilliant, with the stand out function being the semi autonomous tech which in addition to usual lane assist and adaptive cruise control, when on the Motorway (and when i took it to France also the Autoroutes) it has an additional feature called HDA2, this provides automatic speed limit adjustment, according to the posted signs - useful on variable limit sections, auto lane change, in addition to the more usual lane and speed assist, and I'm told it has a unique feature where it will adjust its positioning In the lane if vehicles in adjacent lanes are close by. The car really is doing everything for you! Also in every day driving, if you set tye regen function to Auto it will adjust your speed according to the road conditions, for example slowing more aggressively when you are going down a hill or if traffic in front is slowingly when you are coasting. Finally, whilst more as a gimmick, you can get the car to park (in certain circumstances) whilst you stand outside, much to the amazement of passers by!! Whilst as you mentioned it's refinement is superb with one Car YouTube journalist describing it has having Rolls Royce levels of refinement. In terms of value, and 'bang for your buck' this car absolutely excells.
In about 14 months and 5, 500 miles I easily average 3.5 miles per kWh, and thats driving at the speed limit in normal driving mode whilst using air con etc.
I have had almost thirty years experience in dealing with after sales premium brands, and I have to say even in this area Genesis are head and shoulders above their rivals. You get a five year warranty and five years free servicing, with collection and delivery on a transporter, and courtesy car, but more importantly Genesis are clearly striving to offer an unparalleled customer experience. Nothing is too much trouble for them, you deal directly with Genesis and they genuinely try and ensure absolute customer satisfaction, and I say this as a very 'discerning' customer!!!
Many may well be wondering if I work for Genesis, or whether I get paid for promoting them. The answer is no, the truth is I am just a very satisfied customer, with a car that ticks all the boxes

Top notch info as always. Sadly I think this won't sell very well due to badge snobs but it actually makes a lot of sense when it's this fully loaded.

It would seem that Genesis haven't heard the motor journalists complaints over the MG grill mounted charge points in the event of a bump or accident. There's never going to be a perfect solution but front on is asking for issues. Apart from that a glorious looking vehicle that will hopefully give some difference to the usual German premium brands

Well i have to say without keep repeating myself about how Hyundai/ Kia have evolved this is a beautiful looking car & on this particular model is short of nowt!! The interior is beautiful so much 'class' which will probably surprise a lit of people. 🤔 I'm not sure to be honest if the type of person it's aimed at will change their preferences from premium German cars to Korean & the badge on the front normally dictates their choices
.personally it doesn't bother me & i would own one if these in a heartbeat Korean or whatever as its such a lovely car ..excellent review as always planet auto 🚘 👌 😊
