This video lecture tells about two grading systems and their comparisons in details. One is absolute grading system and second is relative grading system. Sometimes teacher chooses absolute grading system while sometimes teacher chooses relative grading system. In absolute grading system, every point value has a fix grade in grading table. According to grading table, grades are assigned to each point value. In this grading systems, it is possible that all students receive A grade and it is also possible that no one receive A grade. But in relative grading system, grades relate to student’s performance. In this grading system, it is must that some student receive high grade while some receive low grade. It is not dependent on values, it depends on student performance. May be, the A grade is on 60 and D grade is on 40. Or may be, the A grade is awarded on 90 marks while D grade id awarded on 70 marks.
