Rollin' on the Road | Ragans Stellar vs. Red Sox

The Royals rolled into Fenway Park fresh off a sweep of the Cardinals and sent their Ace Cole Ragans to the mound. Ragans turned in 7.0 innings of 1-run ball in his final outing before headed to the All-Star game, striking out 7 in the process. The Royals never trailed in the game, taking the lead in the top of the 1st inning on a Salvador Perez sacrifice fly. They'd rally for 3 more runs in the top of the 2nd inning and Bobby Witt Jr. extended the lead in the 4th inning with his 16th home run of the season. MJ Melendez added a solo homer of his own in the 8th inning giving him home runs in back-to-back games. Chris Stratton and Nick Anderson tossed scoreless innings in relief of Ragans to wrap up the win and give the Royals a fourth consecutive win on the road.
