13 years ago, my son 19 yr old Vinnie was murdered after his death He came to me in several dreams talking to me about forgiveness for his murderers. When I was worried about how he died. He said that when they were strangling him, he saw lights which he thought it was just because he was lack of oxygen, but then, the holy souls surrounded him and told him to call out to God and the Holy Spirit the comforter came to him in his moment of death
And took away all his fear and pain, He told me in that dream that he as a young child always said. May the souls of the faithful departed through the mercy of God rest in peace after the meal blessing prayer which we always said as a family that all the souls that he had prayed for at his moment of death came to him he said when did I pray for you and and they said that simple prayer brought so many souls out of purgatory they comforted him in his moment of death and urged him to call out to God instead of cursing his murderers

This really touched my soul to the point of tears. My husband used to give me a rose from a certain bush to show his love. After he died, just one rose would grow from that bush. It confirms to me that he is alright. I still will pray for his soul out of love for him.

Every Friday a group of us has a Rosary walk after mass at the cemetery across the street and at the end we say the Litany for the Holy Souls. We have been doing this for 4 years

I have been praying the Chaplet of St. Gertrude daily as part of my Prayer Rule for a few months now. I am a Benedictine monk and lost my eyesight a coupl years ago. i am now a hermit in all but official status. so i spend my time in prayer, reparation, reflection and study.

As a child, I would distinctly hear my name called. My mother talked to the priest who said I should say a Hail Mary for the Holy Souls. I'm a priest of 40 years, I no longer hear my name called, but I have devotion to the Holy Souls every day.

My Mom was in purgatory for the first eight years of her death. She appeared to her niece after eight years to ask for Mass of repose three times. Her niece told us (her children) about it. We have been praying for her and other souls since.

My grandmother used to see souls from purgatory. She would be woken up on Fridays at 3am and would pray until they left her room. She was a very saintly woman.

As a child it was always common for my whole family (Irish ancestry) to talk about “spirits” visiting us. I remember multiple events in my own homes. My Aunty coming over and talking about a spirit sitting down with her. As a child this always freaked me out, I learned to “block” it out when I would feel it happening around me.

Well now I think I can understand it all with better insight after this video. My Mums family grew up Catholic. They all departed the faith once my Grandma died. I think; and I pray for discernment on this, that they all have what Aidan is talking about. Something generationally ties them to a disposition to be able to help the Holy Souls. But through leaving the faith and turning to more “new age” beliefs, the gift is unused and not used correctly.

I was baptised in the old rite last December and have always felt a strong calling to help the Holy Souls, may Our Blessed Mother continue guiding me on this path and to the restoration of God’s will for my family’s gifts.

I used to dream of my late grandma who passed away many years ago. In my dream, she was in her house pacing back and forth. I always tell her in my dream that she died already but she seems not to hear and notice me. I prayed rosaries for her and offered masses for years. The last time I dreamt of her, she was young and radiant with light. I told her to go to Jesus. She smiled and nodded and turned her back on me walking away. That was the last time I dreamt of her. It has been many years since and I never had once dream of her anymore. I hope she entered the Kingdom of God already.💕

During my Camino Pilgrimage from SJPdP to Santiago, while praying my Rosary…I was praying to God to release a soul for each step I make, multiplied with the weight of my backpack. This prayer for the souls of Purgatory gave me strength and motivation. We remember those who have been there the longest and ones forgotten and nobody to pray for them…✝️❤️🙏🏼

Thank you for this beautiful conversation.
I had many encounter about souls in purgatory since I started praying the De Profundis.I found this prayer on my mother’s prayer book when she died in 2006.
I never forgot the time the moment I started praying the prayer so many names came into my mind that I need to pray and some of them were our neighbours who died when I was just a kid.
One day, I prayed to God to give me the grace to feel the pain they are suffering in the purgatory..There after I felt so much pain in my heart & I cried with unbearable longing our God.
This transformed my life & wanting to pray more for them.
Every monday is my fasting and offered a holy mass every month for the souls in purgatory.
