My favorite Eric Church Song! Second is Knives of New Orleans. Loved Mr. Misunderstood. Cannot wait to see him in concert. When he was in St. Louis last, I could not get anyone to go. The next time he gets close to Nashville, Memphis, Little Rock, or St. Louis, I am going if I have to alone. He has an honesty in his music that brushes deep in your soul. You learn something every 100th time you hear it.

I used to work at a diesel truck repair shop/gas station. One day I was on my way out of the back office when I heard this song coming from the garage. It stopped me dead in my tracks and I just stood behind the curtain listening. Everything about this song moved me, I could feel it in my heart. I had never heard it before so I asked the mechanic who the artists were and what song it was. I immediately found it on YouTube and added it to my country and my favorites playlists. What a voice and incredible talent!! I'm thankful for that mechanic and his unique taste in all kinds of music.

I was widowed in February and have cried everyday for 10 months. I cry and slowdance to mixed drinks about feelings and you at least 5 time's a day especially after wild turkey American Honey. My husband loved country music and slowdancing until he got too sick to do anything. He just turned 59 last DECEMBER and died in February 2016 after 27 years of marriage. Best fucking friends ever.. I used to be a big Luke Bryan fan until somebody that I considered my friend introduced me to Eric Church. Ever since then Eric Church has been my favorite with Luke Bryan not far behind. This song speaks on so many levels and it saddens me because it takes on so many truths at the loss of a companionship that you thought was going to be true. Yet you give in to the realization and the heartache that it's no longer to be anymore. Love has the power to lift you to places you've never been but it also has the power to drop you to your knees. This is that song the beginning to the dropping of your knees. We all fall to mourn and in time we will stand.
