MACNA Milwaukee 2022 Product Spotlight - ITC Reefculture PARwise

Connor Sloan, CoralVue product expert, discusses the new PARwise Light Meter with Craig Timms from ITC Reefculture, a subsidiary brand of Seneye. The fully submersible light meter measures PAR, Kelvin Spectrum, and Daily Light Integrals (DLI). This new device is an excellent tool for any hobbyist who wants to understand the lighting in their aquarium.

A couple of observations. 1. ITC doesn't make any statements regarding spectral or PAR accuracy. 2. The spectral graph is overly-vague. You could have a 450nm and 465nm LED running and still see a single peak. As far as PAR, I've seen comparisons where the PARwise is 25% different than measurements from quality PAR meters. Junk.

It's nothing more useful than a toy.
