Building a wooden CABIN tiny home UNDER our OLD BARN - (did we make it in time?)

One month ago we decided to build ourselves an off grid, timber frame cabin, UNDERNEATH our old abandoned barn on our little Irish homestead.
The idea was to give us a warm, safe shelter in time for Christmas.
With only one month to get the tiny home built, it was always going to be tough during the Irish winter, especially with the recent storms and bad weather we've had!

Hopefully you are enjoying this renovation series as much as we are, and we are managing to show you just some of the trials, tribulations, and work, involved when restoring an old traditional cottage AND building an off grid cabin to live in whilst we do!

I showed this vlog series to my 15 year old grandson over the last few days who next summer starts his apprenticeship as a would be joiner. I didn't show him to teach him anything about joinery, just to show him that hard work brings rewards. Hi Louise and Emily ☺️ I’ve been watching your back catalogue on YT in recent weeks, and all I can say is that you have been on a real journey 🤗 Really have achieved so much and I hope you know how much of a genuine inspiration you are to people…

I mean you have had to deal with a lot! Especially with your renovation work, which has required you to adapt and overcome, to dig deep, both physically and emotionally and each time you have. All of your videos captures your energy and determination towards that adversity which is really encouraging to many of us. I’m sure there have been struggles, off camera where you have felt the weight of it all. But no matter what, you’ve both come together as one to get through it. No more do we see this than with AJ’s amputation. It was such a cruel turn of events for that to happen, and it forced you to have to make a very difficult decision in his best interests. But you did what was needed and are supporting him all the way with his new challenges. Nothing more could be asked of you… He is such a lovely dog and he scored so lucky when he found himself with you 😊
