This PSA absolutely haunted my childhood. I still remember it word for word. I've searched for it for years!!! Thanks for the upload!

"The humans had an accident!" "Ok, so. Which one of you ran into the road and forced them to swerve?" "....let's not discuss this."

As a life long Cats fan, I had no idea these existed.

"No one wants a child to become a memory." My jaw is dropped.

This short PSA was already 10 times better than the movie.

Oh, my — that’s my friend and colleague, Calvin Remsberg as Old Deuteronomy starring in this spot! One of the greatest voices, and voice teachers of Broadway history! Now he teaches in Palm Springs...

Them being so concerned for the child who probably already died was so sad to watch though.

Came here from watching Cats (2019) and listening to The Flop House talking about it.
This is truly haunting

Thank you for scratching the itch in my brain that would not rest until I saw this again! This used to come on while I was watching cartoons in the afternoon. Saw it so many times that I can still recite it 35 yrs later!

This is just... perfect. Nothing will ever top this.

The moral of the story is that if you start acting and dancing and singing like a jellicle cat you can get into 8 car accidents without any problems.

"No one wants a child to become a memory" God I wish our road safety ads were this unintentionally hilarious >:(

This cast was from the Los Angeles production that ran at the Shubert Theater. I saw them before they closed in 1987. I had a friend who was major friends with the whole cast. He gave me lots of cool stories about their time in LA. Calvin Remsberg was one of my most favorite Old D's. After Ken Page, of course!

Every single time I drive past an accident I recite this word for word. My wife and kids never believed this was a PSA from Saturday morning cartoons.

It's vaguely acceptable (for the time) up until the part about a child becoming a "Memory" - now that's crass!!

Here because John Oliver let me know that this existed, and now I must tell everyone else
