I juat got back from a holiday in Southeast Asia ( Singapore, Thailand, Vietnam, Malaysia, Indonesia). When I was in Indonesia I tried their first high-speed train, which was made in collaboration with China. It is also the first high-speed train in the SEAsia region.
I was impressed ! The train was bang on time, it's very smooth (I didn't feel any excessive shakiness), it's safe, incredibly comfortable and feel very luxurious. I don't know what Mexico's problem is, but the one in Indonesia is excellent! It even has the cutest name : WHOOSH.

Maya rail was a an iffy project to start with based on ROI. Things like improving water resources for Mexico City and other infrastructure should have a higher priority
PS — Doubt Mexico national electrical grid would have supported high speed rail at this time.

In other words, what you are saying is that Mexico has indirectly claimed that the contract is obtained by CRRC is thru corruption.
And not because it is not up to standard as the title implied.
China should stop partipating in future bidding until Mexico apologize and pay full compensation as per contract.
That is unless Mexico can proved the alleged corruption. 🤔

Don't they know HSRail is very expensive. Interest and debts have to be paid. They cany afford a short payback scheme so...
They want it for free? Go ask other makers. Nobody can force anyone. Other countries have no problems with Chinese rails

its odd how the microscope comes out for public transport projects and yet 14 lane highway though the city - no foreign opposition at all. there has been many US led "investigation reporting" since day one. citing that railways pollute more than cars. im out here in vietnam and there is a MASSIVE push for building highways. the trains on the other hand are still what the french built in the 1800s. super stars like elon even admitted his hyperlink was not viable but it was a way of diverting the conversation away from california high speed rail.
