Kona Process 29 Carbon Review | 2019 Pinkbike Field Test

Kona deserves credit for embracing the new-school, long and slack geometry years before most other brands made the jump, but things have moved on since then and so has the Process lineup.

The Process 29er isn't a new bike this year, but what is new is this Carbon edition, making it lighter and the stiffest bike we tested!

Let us know what you thought of the Kona Process 29er in the comments below 👇

Wow! These are so much better than the Bible of Bike Test videos! Very well done!

It's always funny to me how all these reviews talk about a steep seat angle helping climbing and every time they show a climbing clip they are out of the saddle. Every, single, time. lol! Love the vids though, keep up the great work!

I mean Connor Fearon won every single stage of the recent Australian Enduro National Champs on one of these so I think it’s more than capable of racing

Love how there's a clip of the suspension being squished in every video, I love to see it all work

The Process platform brought me back to being a Kona fan.

I'd be really keen to see what Pinkbike think of the Process 165.

If they offered this white colour with the 27.5" wheel frame, I'd buy this immediately.

Loving the format and breakdown of all these bikes.

Nowadays, Im beginning to wonder when what in the past/now is considered a good climber is gonna become the standard, with an overwhelming number of 160+ bikes being labelled as good climbers.

When will the 'average' climbers become 'bad' cause now a historically slack head angle is the standard and descending prowess is expected. I just wonder how long that shift will take till reviewers consider all these good climbers as normal. Otherwise fantastic ones may not stand out, and bad ones wont stick out so much.

Im sure someone will prove me wrong, but I dont think I can name a single 2018/2019 bike that is known within the bike review world as a typically bad climber.

In this bracket its expected they should at least be able to climb well enough to get you up stuff, but I dont remember hearing anyone say a fairly long travel 29er, or 27.5 was a real pain to climb.

Ive made it quite long winded but I think you get the jist of it. Anyway, cheers for another good vid.

Loving these reviews but are we going to get any for a 27.5, I'm not a 29er person.
