Such B.S. I have never seen a car bumper melt, or be compromised in any way, because of real exhaust tips! And i'm 62, so i've been around. This is nothing more than cost cutting, since most people are not car enthusiasts and can't tell the difference. The manufacturers know this, so they will continue to cut corners any way they can to improve their profit margins. Don't be surprised if one day they start making their car seats so small, that average people will have a hard time sitting in them! Just like airline companies went from spacious, comfortable seats decades ago, to smaller uncomfortable seats that make you feel like you're packed in a sardine can!

🤮🤮🤮 when you want a car with a big engine but don't have the money, manufacturers see it as an opportunity by giving the illusion of fakeness but for enthusiasts it is a fool on an infinite level

Not true, bumper's plastic can withstand exhaust heat. My car does pops n' bangs so you could imagine how hot they get yet no "protective fake exhaust" around it

So how do you explain fake exhaust tips that are not even physically close to the real ones? Come on...

I would cut out the fake exhaust tip and put heat barrier around.

I think it's only for insurance, because in the case of a minor accident, the entire exhaust system has to be changed, which is very expensive on newer vehicles.
