Kings - Your Sweet Love - Very Rare Baltimore Doo Wop

Here's a very rare platter from Baltimore's legendary Kings, aka Bobby Hall and The Kings. I heard this in 2004 when I was living in Baltimore and I remember calling the DJ and asking him to play the record again, which he did.

What we need is a national contest for best doo wop singers and songs, prizes and recognition. Follow this with an international contest with the New Angels, and German groups with bigger prizes and venues such as New York, Philly, or Pittsburgh.

When someone asks, I always tell them I love doo wop because it's one of the few music genres I still understand.

💥America's Best Decade!!
"I'm so thankful to have grown up in the '50's. Graduated 1960. The memories of friendships during those years are priceless. So sad that today's youth have to suffer through these current times." 😎 (2020)

I wish this style of music would return, when ladies were ladies and men were gentleman, my one wish in would be 1957 forever

I love this beautiful song. This music has so much class. Went to many high school dances. I have cousins a couple of years older than I am. Listened to all of their music and always loved this music.
Happy I'm 72. That's all I can say.

Every year there is the largest 1950's theme event at Parsippany NJ over the Labor day weekend. It's called Lead East and this Kings side is a Real Lead East record for Custom Car/Hot Rod cruising. Amazing perfect example of what doo-wop should be....

Written and Produced by legendary Charlotte radio personality from the 60`s, the great Jack Gale.He was from Owings Mills, MD. I think he managed Bobby Hall & The Kings also. He worked in Charleston, SC on WTMA prior in the 50`s and played R&B & Blues. He had a record shop on King St. called the Hound Dog Record Shop. R.I.P. Jack
