Father's Day is coming up within a week of our uploading this video. Whether you need a gift for your dad or something for yourself, two of our favorite dads, Brownells Gun Techs™ Caleb and Steve, are here to share with us their recommendations for some great gifts.

Who doesn't need a good-quality compact flashlight? Caleb really likes SureFire hand-held lights, such as the robust G2X series, which fit comfortably in the hand. Lightly press the sealed rubber endcap button for momentary illumination or push the button all the way in for constant-on. Simple, classic, and built to last a lifetime.

Steve keeps his ultra-compact Streamlight Microstream flashlight clipped to his pocket at all times, so whenever he needs to inspect the bore of a new classic revolver or lever gun for his collection, he has a light ready at hand. Runs on 1 (one) AAA battery, which Steve says lasts him a year or more.

The Brownells Nylon / Brass Gunsmithing Hammer will provide the necessary "motivation" to coax a stuck pin free with the brass side. Or use the nylon side for even more delicate jobs to be sure you don't mar your gun's finish. Don't worry, when the heads wear out, Brownells sells replacements.

Fix It Sticks offers handy, innovative tools that'll help Dad get jobs done quickly and neatly. The Field Armorer's Kit is their comprehensive master set that's comprised of multiple smaller tool kits that you can also purchase separately. You might start with the All-Purpose Driver Toolkit and add more kits as you need them. The key to the system is the versatile T-Way Wrench, which is configured to help you reach even oddly positioned screws. Bonus: The Fix It Sticks tool kits equip you to do a LOT of work yet are compact enough to fit easily in a range bag.

Steve believes a set of Bondhus Pro-Hold Ball-Tip Hex Wrenches belongs in every gun tool kit. They're indispensable for mounting optics, and unlike the hex / Allen wrenches you find in the hardware store bargain bin, Bondhus wrenches are made of high-quality hardened steel. They won't lose their crisp edges after you use them a few times.

No tool set for working on firearms is handier than a Brownells Magna-Tip® Screwdriver Set. You can get Magna-Tip® sets with a variety of handles and a plethora of bits to cover just about any kind of gun chore, including slot head, Phillips, hex (Allen), Torx, and even specialty gunsmithing bits.

A great way to carry your tools or other critical items is a Magpul® DAKA® Utility Organizer. These zippered, water-resistant pouches protect what's inside from moisture. Handy nylon organizers and zippered compartments inside help you keep everything stored in an orderly fashion.

Any shooter will love to receive a Brownells Signature Series Range Bag. This large, roomy bag has a tough nylon outer shell with leather accents, long-lasting nylon zippers with brass pull tabs, plenty of storage space inside, and multiple zippered pockets inside and out, including a removable insert for pistol mags. The Signature Series Range Bag will hold just about anything you'll want to tote to the range, and you'll look good with it slung over your shoulder. Er, we mean Dad will look good!

The fix it sticks are nice but quite expensive. I think the wheeler FAT stix set would’ve been a honorable mention.

Like the range bag. That top pocket good for dry socks, undergatchers and a tracking device or maps and charts or paper targets.
Happy father's day to all.

I certainly shouldn't expect a bunch of puns and dad jokes on this Father's Day video, I'd bet my brace on it.

Absolutely love my Brownell's range bag...but that looks like an updated version. Either way...an indispensable piece of kit.

I have had a set of Bondhus Hex Wrenches for many, many years and they are Excellent. I don't just use these on guns, but on everything. Highly recommend that brand as long as they haven't cheaped out on their quality like everyone else seems to be doing.

Very nice. Did Steve say he was a "Dad"? I'm not a "Dad", but have an idea what in a Man makes a good "Dad" and I'm sure that you guys are good "Dad's", as Gun-Peeps are usually pretty decent people. I work at a Gun Shop/Range and a customer said to me that you meet the best people behind the barrel of a gun and for the most part that's true. Thanks for another great video and Happy Fathers Day! Hold the Bus, I just seen a post from another subscriber that commented saying "Steve and Caleb are the best father/son duo on YouTube". I didn't know that Steve is Caleb's dad. Is that the truth?

Steve and I might be related. I have a rechargeable MicroStream clipped to my pocket 24/7. On the other hand the pocket is not attached to me 24/7. Yes, I go pantless, too, Steve. That happens when I am checking my eyelids for holes.

Just need Brownells to start stocking stuff again that has gone AWOL the last couple of years. Seems like all the parts you need for making good custom rifles has all gone on the wayside in favour of the AR/Glock plastic fantastic stuff.
