Last day my beginners course is 50% off!

Big plans for future drawing live classes and recorded courses! Also lots more free content here! I have my discord with free guides in my most recent video description!

That’s actually quite nice. I love how smooth the hair looks

Tbh I love heavypaint. Once you get used to the tools, it's really good for limiting yourself to force problem solving.

HeavyPaint and WebbyPaint are just incredible pieces of software they really make you think and approach art differently and encourage experimentation, love them!

Reminds me of Aleksander Rostov, the artist who did all the paintings for the game Disco Elysium

The way this ended up looking kinda reminds me of the character portraits you’d see in Disco Elysium. Just a little less intentionally grimey (grimey in the sense of they would intentionally leave in details that felt like they made the characters look dirty)

This channel should be much larger than it is, currently. I think he’s going to blow up if he keeps posting. Love his content

My favorite part of this short goes beyond the material you’re teaching in the short itself. It’s that I’ve watched enough of these to the point that I can point out the specific techniques you’ve taught in other shorts that shaped the face. I can see that the skull is like a box, I can see the darks being used on the face to indicate depth… for the first time in a while I genuinely feel like I learned something on YouTube.

I actually would like you to see you try watercolor. because I agree in terms of the basics of design but physical mediums also have a skill curve that one needs to adjust for just because of the materials and how they interact with each other in this realm. so I would be interested to see how your background/approach translates into a medium like watercolor and to see you learn your way around that as well! would be a fun exploration 😁

Picasso vibes with his realistic classical foundational kid paintings.
