LOTR: The Two Towers - The Song of the Entwives (New Scene)

Показать описание
*NEW SCENE:* Merry and Pippin are traveling with Treebeard towards his home in the forest. While they sit on his branches, Treebeard recites verses to them, but the hobbits seem bored.
When Merry inquires about the remaining distance, Treebeard replies with _"Bru-ra-hroom. Don't be hasty."_ and after which Treebread continues to recite another verse.
_"Beneath the roof of sleeping leaves_
_And the dreams of trees unfold_
_When woodland halls are green and cool_
_And the wind is in the West_
_Come back to me_
_Come back to me_
_And say my land is best"_
After Treebeard finishes his recitation, he notices the two hobbits have fallen asleep. He gently lays them on the ground, bidding them to continue sleeping.
He says that there are many others to attend to and warns that the decay of all the forests is approaching.
Treebeard, also known as Fangorn, is the oldest of the remaining Ents in Middle-earth, an ancient tree-like creature who acts as a protector of trees.
_The Two Towers is the second of three volumes of the epic novel, The Lord of the Rings by the English author J. R. R. Tolkien._
