Racing two of the most powerful e-bikes

Super73 and Juiced are two California companies that make super-fast, moped-style e-bikes that are incredibly popular right now. We thought it would be interesting to take two of their highest spec models — Super73’s RX and Juiced’s HyperScrambler 2 — and see how they stack up against each other. And of course, we raced them too. Which do you think won?

Can we get a video about e-bike safety? At the point where you are going 30 mph you are way out ahead of what Norma bike helmets are rated for. Honestly and that point you should consider Kevlar jeans and pads. I’m an avid EUC rider and I’ll be the first to tell you, safety regulations are lagging way behind the technology. E bikes of this class are almost as dangerous as motorcycles if not more so.

At some point where is the line between and electric motorcycle that requires a licence and insurance etc and just an electric moped that’s treated like a bicycle?

Love it! I have a HS2 and ride it most everyday! The mirrors are terrible though. Replaced those right away.

So, why do these things have pedals.. Is it just so they aren't classed as motorbikes? because by the look of them they should be classed as such.. If those were in the UK you'd be needing A CBT, Number plate, tax and insurance. oh and a motorbike specific helmet.

Juiced Bikes and their signature brake squeak. I carry alcohol wipes to always wipe down the front brakes. But, I own the HS2 and damn, its fun to ride. I ride mine to work 6 days a week. I have almost 800 miles of it...no problems...except of course...brake squeak.

Love ebike reviews! If you can get e-road bike companies to send you bikes they look super cool! Bianchi, Trek, Specialized, Orbea, and Pinarello all have multiple ebike models that are a totally different vibe to the motorcycle-lite ones but seem super super cool. Similar price range on many of them as well. If I was dropping 3k on an ebike going for one of them over the moped/motorcycle style for sure!

I own a hyperscrambler2 for months now. For some reason mine is faster than the one in this video. Probably didn't unlock the limiter.

They look fun but potentially lethal. Both for rider and pedestrians. Especially the one that automatically turns the throttle on...!
