Mapping The Ocean with GIS
Показать описание
Armed with GIS, marine biologist Sylvia Earle and her team are better able to track the ocean’s patterns. With 90% of the ocean still largely unexplored, mapping the ocean is an incredibly difficult task. Esri technology enables biologists to see through the ocean, to understand what no one could see or understand before. With GIS, we finally have the power to assemble enough data points to see the intricate patterns of oceans. As these patterns become increasingly clear, we will have greater respect for life in the ocean, what we’re doing to it, and why it matters.
